About Our Club

The Rotary Club of Farnborough was formed in 1959 and currently has nearly 50 members.

We meet every Thursday lunchtime at the Holiday Inn Farnborough for a club meeting which usually lasts from 12.30-2.15pm. We do have evening meetings about 4 times a year which are held with other local rotary clubs and includes partners.

Visitors to our club will find a warm welcome awaits them. Come along and enjoy our Thursday lunch, meet the members and be entertained and informed by our scheduled speakers.

Farnborough Rotary club is well known for being one of the local Rotary Clubs that organise Farnborough Donkey Derby, our bi-annual Picnic to Music in the Park festival and for our Christmas Float Collections. But we do a lot more to raise funds for local charities and projects. We are also involved in raising funds for national and international projects too. Over the years we have raised many hundreds of thousands of pounds for different projects.

People join Rotary for many reasons.  For some it could be from a social perspective, whereby you meet other like-minded individuals.  Some feel the need to serve the local community, whilst others want to be part of the bigger international Rotary picture.

Generally, membership is by invitation to like-minded adults of good business, professional and (or) community reputation prepared to work for the good of others both at home and abroad. Membership is open regardless of race, colour, creed or gender.

Rotary is non-political and non-sectarian.

If you feel that you would like to devote some of your time and energy, make new friends, and get involved then please do not hesitate to contact us.
